5 Artworks For Rainy Day Lovers

Where are the homebody girls at? The girls who prefer to stay inside, cuddled up with a soft blanket a hot cup of tea and a book? Perhaps fuzzy socks and a latte while you sit at your gaming desk and play cozy video games; gamer girlies? Knitting girlies?

A twinge of guilt can creep up on sunny days when you feel you should probably go outside and enjoy a beautiful day. Which is why a rainy day brings such wonderful freedom. Free to cozy up, listen to the pitter patter of the water tapping the window. The sound of rain can be quite meditative. Watching the lighting illuminating the room briefly if it’s a thunderstorm is exciting! Most of all, the rain washes away any feelings of guilt for staying indoors. There’s a name for someone who loves rain— a pluviophile! The smell of rain on dry earth is called petrichor.

It’s raining now as I start this post. Most days it rains here in Berlin. People complain, but it’s a cozy girls dream. Are you a fan of rainy days? Let me know in the comments below and share this post with any other cozy rain friends.
